Musician's - Declare Your Independence This Saturday

The day begins at 8:00 a.m. (bright and early) at Drexel University's Bossone Center (on Market between 31st and 32nd Street).  But, will provide you the opportunity to network with industry experts AND win great prizes including CD Duplication Packages...Forge Recording Studio Prize Package...Concert Tickets...Tee's and lots more.

The keynote speaker is Tim Westergren, Chief Strategy Officer & Founder, Pandora Music.  Panel's include:  Distribution, New School vs. Old School, Can YOU Hear Me Now?  This Ain't Your Grandfather's Radio, The Check is in the Mail:  Getting Paid in Today's Music Business and more.  Panelists include:  Ariel Hyatt from CDBaby, Kevin Hedge, West End Records, Darryl King, Sound of Marketing Street Records, Lori Jandew, Ryko, Schooly D, Jon Solomon, Philadelphia City Paper, Keith Johnson of ASCAP, Chris Schwartz from Ruff Nation and Michael Morpurgo, Music Director for Paul Green School of Rock in Princeton.  Also, special guest Bruce Warren, VP/Programming at 88.5 WXPN (with copies of his book entitled "Wisdom for a Young Musician, Inspiring Advice and Incredible Incites from the Best in the Business."

Last month, Creative Financial Group held their 12th Annual Customer Appreciation Night at the Crystal Tea Room in Center City.  CFG is the preeminent financial services firm in the Greater Delaware Valley and provides unparalleled service, experience and integrity in the world of finance.  Over 400 guests and clients were treated to the best of the best - Ice sculptures and appetizers, a cocktail hour before a spectacular sit-down dinner, CFG spared no expense.  They also showed their generosity with a check presentation to the Variety Club for all the great work they do.  To further inspire their clients, the Special keynote speaker was Christopher Gardner (shown here with Jim Meehan and Gina Iovanisci of CFG and Mark McNutt and Larry Levin of Forge), whose autobiography was made into the movie The Pursuit of Happyness starring Will Smith.  He was eloquent, funny and very inspirational.

CFG choose Forge Recording to provide the technical framework for this event and has done so for the last several years.  Forge provided the 3-camera video shoot, lighting, video projection and sound, along with the house PA.  Forge also recorded the entire evening for DVD production and manufacturing.  Gina Iovanisci, Event Planning Consultant for Creative Financial said:  "I love Forge, and I wouldn't trust the technical responsibility of this special event to anyone else."
