Forge Recording recently welcomed New Riders of the Purple Sage producer/guitar player Michael Falzarano and bass player Ron Penque, along with piano/organ player Mookie Siegel (Donna Jean and the Tricksters, David Nelson Band). They came to Forge to work on their latest album "Where I Come From" with good friend, Forge Recording's own Larry Levin and engineer Mark McNutt. "We feel right at home with Mark and Larry," explains Ron Penque. "The place has a great vibe." Ron liked Forge Recording so much he decided to record his first solo album here. In addition to Ron on bass, The Ronnie Penque Band project features Katie Pearlman on drums, Chris Penque on rhythm guitar, Jeff Pearlman on keyboards and Andy Tristar on lead guitar, and is being produced by Larry Levin. |
