Recorded and mixed by Steven LaFashia at Forge Recording.

thefutureunwrittenThe Future Unwritten, from Philadelphia, PA/Wilmington, DE features Uncle Tupelo influenced three piece power country -inspired rhythms, layered and held together with big guitar sounds resembling groups such as Crazy Horse and The Drive-By Truckers. The band shares songwriting and vocal responsibilities, which creates a unique, soulful Alt-Country rock sound.

Forming in the summer of 2009, The Future Unwritten was received with praise after playing shows in and around Philadelphia. Shortly after recording their first demo “We Have Our Moments”, the band recorded their EP “Extended Play” with the help of the established Milkboy Studios in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. “Extended Play” was voted “Best Rock EP of the Year” by radio station 93.7 WSTW. In 2010, The Future Unwritten won a battle of the bands: The Grand School of Music’s Musikarmageddon, further proving that they deserve to be heard.

The band was chosen to appear on Los Angeles based JetSpeed Records “Punk Rawkus” compilation in 2010. In May 2013, The Future Unwritten will release their debut LP “Put Out This Fire” on Relay Records. The new record was produced by Steve LaFashia of Jealousy Curve and Mastered by Glenn Schick (Drive-By Truckers, Widespread Panic, Matthew Sweet).
With two well-received albums and airplay on several major radio stations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, The Future Unwritten are declaring themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Playing in venues throughout the East Coast, they continue to gather more adoring fans and shape themselves into a powerful country influenced Rock band.
